Adolfo Alcaide is involved with the art for more than 35 years. Since he was thirteen years old, when he joind the Escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios de Madrid, his hands have never stopped investigating with volume, which declares him as a sculptor not only by profession but also by fondness. Through the drawing and his preferred materials working, bronze and wood, he has managed to renounce to straight une coldness as well as the candy-coated plasticit of smooth curves. Creating drawings and dynamic sculptures with impossible volumes of transgressor and intuitive forms, impregnated with tunnels, holes and cavitles, including a big amount of great sensualty, sometimes delicate sometimes agresive. To sume up, Alcaide offers us forms that along with the warming of wood, or the polished bronze, they go beyond the limit of the seing and they make touching as something almost necessary.
